Free Family Fun at Historic Harris-Lass House

A classic Chevys club car show, craft activities, and historic house tours are planned at the Harris-Lass House Museum in Santa Clara on August 6. These free events are part of the historic museum’s 20th anniversary celebration and will include post card art, corn husk dolls, lavender wands, and making ice cream treats. The program starts with a flag ceremony at 10:15 and group tours of the 1865 farm house will be offered starting at 10:30 am. All tours and activities will wind down by 3:30 pm.

M.U.S.E. Benefit Concert

Been meaning to clear out that garage, or just want to do some clutter-control? The City of Santa Clara will advertise your garage sale for free.
The city-wide sale will be advertised in local newspapers, on Cable Channel 15, on the City's website, and various other garage sale websites. Residents may register individual, multi-family, or block garage sales on-line. Garage sale registrations received by noon on Friday, August 12 will be posted on the City's website.
A map, that includes a list of garage sale addresses and a brief listing of items for sale, is now available. The Map and address list will be updated as new registrations are received.

On August 2nd, the City of Santa Clara will participate in the 28th Annual National Night Out program. This event, designed to promote neighborhood spirit and to increase positive police and community partnership, encourages residents to close and lock their doors and spend an evening outside with neighbors and friends. These events can range from casual or informal potlucks or ice cream socials to full blown block parties.
